HISTORY

  • Jun. 1949

    Founder Takayoshi Shinjo established “Fuji Die Works” in Tobata City, Fukuoka Prefecture, for the purpose of manufacturing wear-resistant tools

  • Dec. 1953

    The Tokyo Factory (current head office) built in Shimomaruko, Ota-ku, Tokyo, and the full-scale manufacture of carbide wear-resistant tools began

  • Apr. 1956

    Reorganized as Fuji Die Co., Ltd. (capital: 500,000 yen, head office: currently Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture)

  • Mar. 1957

    Head office relocated to Shimomaruko, Ota-ku, Tokyo

  • Apr. 1960

    Osaka Sales Office opened in Nishi-ku, Osaka City.

  • Dec. 1960

    Moji Plant built in Moji-ku, Kitakyushu City and relocated from Tobata Plant

  • Jan. 1962

    Nagoya Sales Office opened in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture

  • Aug. 1963

    Osaka Factory constructed in Suita City, Osaka Prefecture and Osaka Sales Office (closed in July 2021) relocated

    Kainan Sub-branch opened in Kainan City, Wakayama Prefecture (closed in March 2016)

  • Aug. 1967

    Tochigi Sub-branch opened in Sano City, Tochigi Prefecture (renamed Tochigi Sales Office, closed in November 2023)

    Hadano Branch Office opened in Hadano City, Kanagawa Prefecture

  • Feb. 1970

    Mie Workshop opened in Isshi-gun (now Tsu City), Mie Prefecture (renamed Mie Sub-branch, closed in September 2020)

  • Nov. 1973

    Nagoya Plant completed in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya Sales Office relocated

  • Mar. 1975

    Hadano Plant constructed in Hadano City, Kanagawa Prefecture, merging Hadano Sub-branch merged with the Hadano Plant and beginning full-scale preparation of raw powders

  • Oct. 1978

    Okayama Plant (current Okayama Manufacturing Plant) built in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture

  • Sep. 1979

    Hokuriku Sales Office opened Office in Imizu City, Toyama Prefecture (closed in October 2023)

  • May 1982

    Koriyama Plant (currently Koriyama Manufacturing Plant Diamond Tool Production Section) constructed in Dojo, Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture

  • Apr. 1987

    Kumamoto Plant (currently Kumamoto Manufacturing Plant) constructed in Minamiseki-cho, Kumamoto Prefecture

    Penang Representative Office opened in Penang, Malaysia

    The Shanghai representative office incorporated as FUJI DIE TRADING (SHANGHAI) CO., LTD. (currently a consolidated subsidiary)

    Koriyama Manufacturing Plant constructed in Machiikedai, Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture

  • Dec. 2007

    SHINWA DIE Co., Ltd. and FUJI SHAFT Co., Ltd. acquired making both companies wholly owned subsidiaries

    Hiroshima Sales Office opened in Aki-gun, Hiroshima Prefecture (closed in October 2016)

    A new factory Constructed in Chonburi, Thailand and FUJILLOY (THAILAND) CO.,LTD relocated from Chachoengsao Province

    FUJILLOY INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED (currently a consolidated subsidiary) established in Haryana, Republic of India

    PT.FUJILLOYINDONESIA’s new factory built in KIM Industrial Estate (Mitra Karawang Industrial Estate) and relocated

    Fuji Die Co., Ltd. listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange

  • Apr. 2017

    Fuji Die Co., Ltd. upgraded from the Second Section to the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange

    Moji Plant ceased production functions

    Nagoya Sales Office opened in Kariya City, Aichi Prefecture (sales division relocated from Nagoya Plant)

    Moji Sales Office relocated to Kokuraminami-ku, Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, and started operations as Kitakyushu Sales Office

    Osaka Plant closed and Osaka Sales Section relocated in Suita City, Osaka Prefecture and began operations as Osaka Sales Office

    Fuji Die Co., Ltd. moved from the First Section to the Prime Market due to the revision of the market classification of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

    Kita-Kanto Sales Office opened in Kuki City, Saitama Prefecture
